It was announced today that Devon would be going into Tier 2 of the latest rulings after lockdown. The great news is that Brendon Manor Stables will be able to open from the above date.
North Devon has one of the lowest infection rates in the country and we want to keep it that way... The following rules for Brendon Manor Stables will be in place from December 2nd therefore.
*We won't be mixing groups. If you choose to come riding with your friends or family that is fine, but if you come on your own it will be just yourself in that session.
*If you or one of your group is from a "Tier 3" area, sorry we cannot allow you to come riding with us at the moment.
*Group numbers are strictly caped at 4 people.
*All riders must be competent and confident. We will be asking if possible therefore for riders to check girths and adjust stirrup leathers when need.
*We are running at the bare minimum of staff and volunteers. All staff will be wearing facemasks for close contact activities.
*We will not be doing lead reins for the moment.
*Only persons participating on treks will be allowed into our yard unless accompanying an under 16.
*Hands must be sanitised before entering the stables (whether riding or accompanying), this is present on our entrance gate.
*Where possible we will be doing all paperwork and payment outside. Please pay by card where possible.
*Masks must be worn on site when in the office for everyone over the age of 11 or unless your exempt. STRICTLY no admittance to our stables at the moment. If you have your own tack to put on the horses, where weather allows we will bring the horses out to you. Otherwise, tack will be fitted by a member of staff.
*If you present with Covid symptoms', please cancel your trek as soon as possible. The management reserve the right to refuse entry on to site to anyone showing symptoms.
*We have only 2 slots available per day for a 2 week period from 2nd December to allow cleaning of tack and facilities to take place between rides. Therefore, please leave after your ride promptly and only arrive between 15-20 minutes early before your booked trek time.
*Our deposit scheme is being suspended for the moment.
*We will be reviewing the above rules every 2 weeks, please keep an eye on social media and our website for any updates.
